    Got to say it's a very well made self defense product.. even though it's not a firearm you need to carry and conceal as it was. Had it for about a month and already had to protect my family with it on New year's night about 3am confused drunk individual came knocking at our front back door yelling to let them in..... got up grabbed my byrna and wanted for things to deescalate.. they did but was very confident having my byrna at hand with me... I take it it everywhere I go concealed.

    Love this! My friend had his delivered to me because his primary residence is in New York City where they don't ship and he wanted it for trips upstate. Box was so enticing I was dying to open it and he said to go for it. Ten minutes later my 19 year old son and I had set up tupperware to shoot at in the back yard just to see how it worked; twenty

     minutes later I was on the computer ordering my own with extra inerts and CO2; 2 hours later we had run through all the inert rounds in my buddy's expert kit and I was ordering more to replace his. I wish I had this back in the day I cocktail waitressed and had to walk to the far end of a dark parking lot after my shift with some creep always hanging around. Frankly I think that laser dot would have given me the time to get to my car and lock the door without ever pulling a trigger and this provides a much bigger "safe zone" than pepper spray! Hope I never need it for self-defense but good to know it's an option and it sure is fun to practice!

    I’m a trucker and bought this as a form of protection that I can take across the country. I was surprised when putting a few kinetic rounds through it at just how hard it hits… i would not want to be on the receiving end of the Byrna for sure…I hope I never have to use it, but I’m great full for this tool as an option… just in case.

    Great non-lethal launcher. I wear it all the time for concealed carry since I received the Byrna SD. I wish I could buy the pepper balls or the max balls since I lived in California. I also got 2 7 round magazine and I got the 95 kinetic balls.

    I live in CA do I had to take the course BUT is was actually a great course that kept my attention and I actually learned a lot and am a combat veteran and avid gun enthusiast as well.
    I bought the SDXL and I can’t believe how accurate and consistent it is at 35 feet….really a great quality launcher and for the price you really can’t beat it

    for home protection or out and about with varmints, coyotes and/or the occasional unfriendly loose dog as my wife and I walk and bike a lot and are close to a rural area.
    If you are looking for advise I would DEFINITELY buy this launcher and get familiar with it on a range or in the backyard and I am sure you will love it too…..also, PLENTY of YouTube videos on test firing which helped me make the choice
